This year, the Roger Cotton Prize for the best paper published in Histopathology (in 2006) went to Professor Jeremy Jass of the Department of Pathology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada for his paper "Advanced colorectal polyps with molecular and morphological features of serrated polyps and adenomas: concept of a 'fusion' pathway to colorectal cancer"(Histopathology 2006; 49; 121-131). His co-authors were K. Baker, I. Zlobec, T. Higuchi, M. Barker, D. Buchanan and J. Young.

After the Dinner on the 23rd November 2007, during the BDIAP Scientific meeting on Urological Pathology, the President, Professor Claude Cuvelier, presented the Division's Cunningham Medal for service to the British Division to the retiring Divisional Editor, Professor Peter Furness

At the same event, Professor Cuvelier also presented the President's Medal for service to education in pathology to Professor Sir Roddy MacSween.
