ROGER COTTON HISTOPATHOLOGY PRIZE 2012

The panel of judges for the 2012 Roger Cotton Histopathology was chaired by Professor Michael Wells. The prize was awarded to Dr Felipe C Geyer for his paper entitled "Molecular evidence in support of the neoplastic and precursor nature of microglandular adenosis", which appeared in Histopathology 2012; 60; E115-E130. Dr Geyer carried out the research while working in the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Research Centre, The Institute of Cancer Research, London, UK. He is now at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The value of the prize is 10.000 Euros. Many congratulations to Dr Geyer.

After the Dinner on the 29th November 2013, during the BDIAP Scientific meeting on Intestinal Pathology, the President, Professor Michael Wells, presented the Division's Cunningham Medal for service to the British Division to Dr Stephen Wells, who has relinquished the post of BDIAP Divisional Editor after six years and remains as Webmaster. Flowers were presented to Mrs Wells.

At the same event, Professor Wells also presented the President's Medal for service to education in pathology to Professor Geraint Williams and flowers were presented to Mrs Williams.
