ROGER COTTON HISTOPATHOLOGY PRIZE 2015
The journal Histopathology continued its tradition of awarding the Roger Cotton prize for the most oustanding original article to be published in Histopathology in a particular year. The prize for 2014 was awarded to the first author Mrs Mary Anne Quintayo for the paper entitled 'Virtual tissue microarrays: a novel and viable approach to optimizing tissue microarrays for biomarker research applied to ductal carcinoma in situ", which appeared in Histopathology 2014; 65; 2-8.
After the Dinner on the 20th November 2015, during the BDIAP Scientific meeting on Uropathology, the President, Dr Alec Howat, presented the Division's Cunningham Medal for service to the British Division to Professor Neil Shepherd. Flowers were presented to Mrs Shepherd (right).
At the same event, Dr Howat also presented the President's Medal for service to education in pathology to Professor Cyril Fisher.
