BEGIN:VCALENDAR VERSION:2.0 PRODID:-/-/EN BEGIN:VEVENT SUMMARY:International Junior Academy Summer School 2024 UID:153 DESCRIPTION:The 14th International Junior Academy Summer School\n\nThe German\, British & Hungarian Divisions welcomes you to the 14th International Junior Academy Summer School to be held in Budapest / Hungary as an in-person event on 8-10 August 2024.\n\nThe International Junior Academy is particularly aimed at pathologists in training as well as for specialists for a re-entry. It provides a great opportunity to meet with experts and discuss selected topics in depth. In addition\, you can meet colleagues from other countries and exchange ideas.\n\nThe event will take place in Budapest\, Hungary and limited to a maximum of 30 places so early application is advised. \n\nThe programme for the 2024 Summer School will include the following topics:\n\nLiquid Biopsies in Lung CancerLymph Node Structure And MalignancyTumors of the thymus and mediastinumBiphasic Lesions of the BreastParticipants are also encouraged to bring and present interesting cases on any of these topics which will then be discussed by all the attendees at the school.\n\nThis event is administered by the German Division of the IAP.\n\nBursaries to attend the Junior AcademyApplications for Bursaries for 2024\n\nApply for a BDIAP bursary to attend the 14th International Junior Academy Summer School.\n\nApplications are open to attend in person. There are four in person bursaries available. \n\nIn person bursaries will consist of free registration\, hotel accommodation and reasonable travel costs to attend the summer school.\n\nAll applications will be reviewed formally by the Innovation Subcommittee.\n\nSuccessful recipients will be encouraged to present an interesting case on any of the school’s topics (see above).  \n\nAm I eligible?Applications are open to:\n\nBDIAP Member Country Trainee Members (UK\, Ireland\, Belgium\, The Netherlands)How do I apply?Complete the online application form below.Your Clinical Lead / Head of Department (as appropriate) must complete and submit a verification document. When completing the online application form applicants will be asked to write a short statement (200 words) to demonstrate how they would benefit from being awarded a BDIAP bursary. \n\nPlease note:\n\nYou will be asked to provide your IAP Reference Number when completing the online form. This can be found on the profile page of your Member Area. The verification document must be submitted. Only completed applications will be considered. We will provide awarded applicants a guideline of what to include. The report will be made available on the BDIAP website and circulated to BDIAP members via our e-newsletter.A member is not entitled to more than one BDIAP bursary in any two-year period.
