The 14th International Junior Academy, Budapest Summer School took place on 8th -10th August 2024.
30 participants from Algeria, Austria, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, UK and the Ukraine, at various stages in their histopathology training (1st year to 7th year) attended a busy programme with state -of the- art presentations on lung cancer, breast pathology, lymph node pathology mesenchymal tumours and mediastinal & thymic tumours given by expert pathologists in their field.
There were also presentations by the trainees themselves of challenging cases, and our Ukrainian colleagues convey their current challenging circumstances of day-to-day practicing pathology.
It was an enjoyable summer school, the atmosphere was studious and relaxed, with good engagement from the trainee pathologists and interesting Q&A sessions.
The social programme was also excellent, exploring the beautiful city of Budapest with Judith, a knowledgeable and friendly guide, as well as nice lunch breaks and diners.
