The BDIAP provides a number of different grants and bursaries for medical undergraduates, histopathology residents, allied scientists and consultant histopathologists to attend courses and conferences or undertake specialist study.
A member/bursary recipient is not entitled to more than one BDIAP bursary award in any two-year period unless otherwise stated.

Grants and bursaries for medical students
Student elective grants fund medical students to study pathology in a laboratory during their elective period.
Grants and bursaries for Foundation Members
The BDIAP provides bursary opportunities for Foundation members to attend BDIAP events.

Grants and bursaries for Allied Scientist and Affiliate Members
The Innovation Grants are for BDIAP Member Country Allied Scientist/Affiliate Members and are intended to assist study in other departments of Histopathology /Molecular Pathology in the UK or overseas.
The BDIAP provides bursary opportunities for Member Country Allied Scientist and Affiliate members to attend selected BDIAP events.
Grants and bursaries for Member Country Trainees
The Innovation Grants are for BDIAP Member Country Trainee Members and are intended to assist study in other departments of Histopathology /Molecular Pathology in the UK or overseas.
Bursaries are available for members to attend BDIAP Meetings, including the annual joint BDIAP / Path Soc meeting.
These bursaries are made available each year to support Trainees who have had submitted an abstract to the Annual USCAP Meeting.
Organised by the German Division of the IAP, the junior academy summer school is aimed at pathologists in training. A limited number of bursaries are available each year to attend the meeting.
The International Academy of Pathology holds biennial international congress. Bursaries are available for Members who present an oral or poster presentation.
Grants and bursaries for Ordinary Members
The Innovation Grants are for BDIAP Member Country Ordinary Members and are intended to assist study in other departments of Histopathology /Molecular Pathology in the UK or overseas.
These are intended to support the cost of overseas travel undertaken by BDIAP Member Country Members of the BDIAP to meetings of other IAP Divisions.
Grants and bursaries for BDIAP Schools
The BDIAP provides a small number of bursaries each year to permit trainee pathologists (or those within first two years of consultant post) from the BDIAP Sri Lankan, Arab and East African Schools.
Access to recorded content
Access to educational material from BDIAP meetings is made available to BDIAP Schools. Material is made available post-event and is available for a fixed period of time, to a limited number of registrants.
