How do I apply?

  1. Complete the online application form linked below.
  2. Your Clinical Lead/Head of Department/Laboratory Manager/Line Manager (“your referee”) must complete and submit a verification document. Please provide the below verification form template to your referee to submit.

Verification Form

Please note:

  • When completing the online application form applicants will be asked to write a short statement (150 words) to demonstrate how they would benefit from being awarded a BDIAP bursary.
  • Your referee will only receive email notification to submit the verification document once a bursary application has been submitted.
  • The verification document must be submitted directly by your referee.
  • Only completed applications will be considered. Applications are considered complete once the application form has been submitted and a supporting verification document has been received.
  • Applicants should not register for the meeting until they hear the outcome of their bursary application. If you are applying for a bursary and have already registered, please inform Louisa Coulthurst.

Conditions of the Bursary

The following conditions apply for successful bursary recipients:

  1. Bursary recipients are required to attend the networking reception following the Symposium on Friday 22 November 2024.
  2. Bursary recipients are required to submit a short report within 1 month of the meeting. Report guidelines will be provided. The report will be made available on the BDIAP website and circulated to BDIAP members via our e-newsletter.
  3. If for any reason you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact Louisa Coulthurst as soon as possible.
  4. A member is not entitled to more than one BDIAP bursary in any two-year period.

Successful recipients are invited to attend the Symposium Dinner on the evening of Friday 22 November 2024. This is not a requirement of the bursary, but recipients are welcome to join the dinner. Please contact Louisa Coulthurst if you would like more information.

Please note: We are excited to have launched a new online system for managing bursaries. This will make the bursary process easier for our members and enables members to keep a log of their applications.
