Prior to applying

Ensure your membership record is up to date. 

You will need to make sure that your membership record is up to date before starting an application. Please ensure the following details are correct:

  • Your address
  • Phone number

You can check these details via the Member Area. Please contact Louisa Coulthurst if you need to update your email address.

How do I apply?

  1. Complete the online application form (link below). 
  2. Applications can be made at any time but must be submitted a minimum of 6 weeks before the proposed visit to allow time for the Innovation Subcommittee to assess the application.

Conditions of the Bursary

The following conditions apply for successful bursary recipients:. 

  1. A Travel Bursary will provide up to £1000 towards the cost of travel and accommodation. Meeting registration fees, where required, will be reimbursed in addition.
  2. Requests for reimbursement must be accompanied by appropriate receipts.
  3. Applicants must be BDIAP Ordinary Members from the UK, Belgium, Ireland or the Netherlands. 
  4. Applicants must be contributing to the meeting as an invited speaker, platform presenter (oral presentation) or poster presentation. 
  5. A member is not entitled to more than one BDIAP bursary in any two-year period.
  6. Recipients of the bursary are required to submit a short report following the award. The report will be made available on the BDIAP website and circulated to BDIAP members via our e-newsletter.
