The 9th BDIAP Molecular Pathology

Monday 4 March 2024

The aim of the study day is to provide attendees with theoretical knowledge for how to understand which molecular investigations are appropriate for your cases and how to interpret the results. The day is aimed at histopathologists (trainees, specialty doctors and consultants) but is also suitable for allied scientists who may want to learn more about the application and use of molecular pathology.

Lectures are delivered by experts from all the major pathology specialties, including gynaecological, respiratory and soft tissue pathology. The speakers often use case examples to supplement their talks, and each year they provide additional material which helps to ensure attendees keep up to date with the latest research developments in the field.

Delegates will receive access to additional recorded content and a 'Basics of Molecular Pathology' handbook which may be useful for those who are very new to this area.

The16th BDIAP Approach to Cut-Up Study Day

Tuesday 5 March 2024

The study day provides an opportunity for attendees to learn more about how to tackle some of the complex specimens that they may encounter in their departments.

The study day will be of particular benefit to those perhaps just beginning their careers in Histopathology, as well as more senior trainees looking for revision opportunities ahead of the FRCPath Part 2 examination. However, it will also be useful to any histopathology trainee/specialty doctor who wishes to expand their knowledge and refine their current approach, and for our allied scientist colleagues who are actively involved in specimen cut-up, with a dedicated ‘top tips’ talk.

Presentations are delivered by top histopathologists in the field with plenty of diagrams, hints and tips to demonstrate important principles.

Delegates will receive access to additional recorded content in advance of the meeting, including a presentation on Macroscopic examination for the FRCPath.
