Nominations are invited for three Councillors to serve on BDIAP Council for three years from 2025-2027:
- One Trainees Councillor
- Two UK Councillors
Council currently consists of eight Councillors, of which five represent the UK, one represents Ireland, one represents Belgium, and one represents the Netherlands. In addition, there are two Trainees Councillors and one Allied Scientist Councillor.
Council membership offers a fantastic, exciting opportunity to help shape pathology teaching, education and learning for trainees and established members alike. There are a range of opportunities on Council from roles in finance to event organisation to promoting the BDIAP.
Being a Council member is a great opportunity to develop your career and role in pathology and is incredibly enjoyable and rewarding.
All Councillors are expected to attend two Council meetings per year (usually in London) and expenses will be reimbursed. Councillors have to represent the views of our members and assist with the organisation of meetings and other activities of the Division.
