Joint BDIAP and British Association of Urological Pathology (BAUP) Symposium on Urological Pathology

BDIAP Bursaries available for the Joint BDIAP and British Association of Urological Pathology (BAUP) Symposium on Urological Pathology, taking place in London on Friday 14 - Saturday 15 November 2025.

BDIAP is offering bursaries to support attendance at the upcoming Joint BDIAP-BAUP Annual Symposium.

Each bursary includes:

  • A financial contribution towards travel and accommodation
  • Full registration fees

Who can apply?
We welcome applications from:

  • Pathology trainees
  • Allied scientists (including Affiliate Members)

Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must be BDIAP members based in one of the following Member Countries:United Kingdom, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands

Foundation member bursaries are available to attend the BDIAP-BAUP Symposium on Urological Pathology in November.  You must be a BDIAP Foundation member based in one of our Member Countries.

BDIAP Innovation Grants – August Deadline Approaching!

BDIAP Innovation Grants support international study and training opportunities for members in our Member Countries. These prestigious awards aim to enhance experience in Histopathology and Molecular Pathology through placements in the UK or abroad.

  • Up to 10 grants awarded annually
  • Each worth up to £5,000

What can the grants support?
Examples of eligible activities include:

  •  A 2-month placement at a specialist soft tissue pathology centre
  • Training in molecular diagnostics not available in your current programme
  • Participation in tumour boards, research projects, or skills development in a subspecialty

Who can apply?
BDIAP welcomes applications from:

  • Trainees in their final year (or within two years post-Part 1 FRCPath)
  • Allied Scientists and Affiliate Members undertaking elective placements
  • Consultants aiming to expand subspecialist knowledge or pursue research

Eligibility:
Applicants must be BDIAP members based in one of our Member Countries: UK, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands

The Innovation Grants have three fixed application deadlines each year.


BDIAP bursaries to attend the XXXVI Congress of the International Academy of Pathology



The XXXVI Congress of the International Academy of Pathology in conjunction with the 72nd Autumn Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pathology will be held 8-13 October 2026 in Fukuoka, Japan.

Bursaries to attend IAP26 to be announced. Abstract acceptance will be a requirement of the bursary application.


BDIAP Bursaries to attend USCAP

The 2026 USCAP Annual Meeting will be held on 21-26 March 2026 in San Antonio, TX.

BDIAP Bursaries to attend to be announced. Abstract submission will be a condition of the bursary application process. 

Abstract submissions will open  in August..
